Natural and Virtual World

Part 1: You are required to create a number of 3 dimensional art works based on your experience of visiting a rural environment. This could be anywhere however we will be in the dramatic landscape of North Uist which will provide a fantastic opportunity to use this special place as a venue to create work. Your art works can be either influenced by the places you visit or site specific to a certain location, however at least one of them should have some kind of sculptural form.  ​

Part 2: You will be expected to select at least one of your art works and recreate an interactive virtual experience of this work. You will need to represent the location and nature of the work as well as the organic influences that informed its creation.   Your working method could include a Virtual Reality experience and or a multimedia solution, however what every method you choose you must create at least one computer generated model of your artwork and an online representation.

Submission:

• A development sketchbook

• A development board that should include 3D Computer Models, photographs and drawings of your artworks and an examples of your virtual interpretations

• An Interactive Media or VR solution to the brief
